Together for....

Tonight I was blessed to witness one of the most amazing events. My Husband's friend from High School has a 2 year old little girl who has Leukemia. Tonight her family/and friends put together a benefit concert. The theme they have taken on is "Together for Taleah". Tonight that was made clear. So many people came to support. It was such an amazing feeling in the auditorium. I got really moved, when I saw the sweet girl come in with her mom. I do not know her, but I can only put myself in her mom's shoes. It literally makes me sick to think, Sydney or Sadie having Leukemia. I wanted to run up to Taleah's mom and hug her. I wanted to take away her pain. I can only imagine. This concert made me stop and regroup. I looked at this perfect, beautiful, little girl. She is fighting, for her life! Her parents are fighting for their precious, little girl.
Who am I to complain? Who am I to be selfish, and not help those in need. We are all here together, for each other. We can help each other out. I can guarantee that this family went home, with such happy hearts. I am sure their spirits were lifted, and they were ready, for whatever awaits in the future. As a community we did this. We came together to help someone in need. For those two hours we all had something in common. We should take this sweet little girl and set her as an example. We should always be together for everyone. We should lift each other up, and be willing to lighten each others burdens. We are all here for the same thing, to return home to our Heavenly Father. To have our family not only on earth, but in the eternities. We can all help each other. We can conquer this life, we can use each others strengths. I am so grateful for my daughters. I am grateful for their health. I am grateful for my husband, and for the father he is. I have too much to be grateful, and humble for. Who am I not to give? Thank you Taleah, thank you for the courage you have. You have inspired me to be a better person, and I am sure I am not the only one. I challenge myself to live up to this standard, not to judge, and be there for people around me.
