To Our Favorite Boy In The World.......

JEFFERY SCOTT ROBERTS
you are our world. you mean so much to the three of us.
I always joke that in Heaven I had to fight to be your wife, and Our girls decided to take being your daughters. I do not doubt
there are many more sweet girls up there waiting for their turn
to be your daughter. You are so good to us, and although you have
0 emotion in your blood, you somehow manage to handle our emotions.
Thank you so much for the amazing father/ husband you are.
Thank you for being such an amazing provider, for all of our needs. Thank you for the dedicated church member you are. You are such an example to me, and our girls. You serve in your calling to you're full potential. You are such a great teacher, and at time I know I am not so willing to take you're advice, but in the long run you are right. You are so intelligent. I love that you are my husband, but even more I love that you are the father of our children. They are so lucky to have you as their dad. I know the relationship you will have with them will always be so sweet. We love you so much. Sydney would go crazy without you. I think we are going to have to let her know someday that she cannot marry daddy. His you are my best friend!! I love you so much. Thank you for all you do. Words cannot express the love I have for you.

Sadie Dawn Roberts

This is pretty delayed.Better late than never, right?
I think I cheated! It honestly felt like I did not
Even have a baby!!
So It all started on May 3. My doctor was going out of
town, and did not want to miss my delivery. So I went
in to get my membranes stripped. I was thinking this
was not going to help, because they did this with
Sydney and NOTHING happened. With Sadie I was progressing.
When my doctor stripped my membranes I was at a 3 1/2, not
going to lie I was pretty excited about that.
My doctor was determined not to miss this, so he told
me if I had any type of contraction to go in to labor and delivery.
In my head I was thinking nothing was happen. And even if I did go in
I would just get sent home.
I went over to my friends house to finish up the baby blanket,
I was making. Throughout the time there, I was having mild
contractions. Nothing to bad, but enough that I was uncomfortable.
I told my friends about them, and they were convinced I was going to have
this baby. For some reason I was not ready to really believe it was going
to happen. So I left my friends house, and went home. Jeff's birthday was
the next day, and his grandparents wanted to take him out to dinner. We decided
to go that night just in case something did happen. Throughout dinner I was
having pretty regular contractions. I told Jeff and we decided we better
start getting things together. We left dinner with his grandparents, and went
over to his other grandparents to say hi. I went to the restroom there and
noticed I was bleeding. That scared me a bit, and I knew we had to go in soon.
I told Jeff, and his grandma. They said I should probably go get checked. She told
me if I wanted to be admitted I better start acting like I was in more
Pain ha. I honestly was not in any pain. His grandparents said we
could drop Sydney off there while we went and got checked.
We went home and got Sydney's thing together and took
her back to Jeff's grandparents. I had Jeff
take Sydney in, because if I was
admitted this would be the first time I Left
Sydney over night, and I knew I would break down. Jeff and
I then went to Target to get some woman things. Of course as
we are checking out, a boy got in line behind us that was one
of Jeff's EFY boys!! I could have died. We both just laughed. The
lady checking us out was amazed that I was probably in labor, but
shopping at Target!!
We than headed over to Labor and Delivery. They had me get into
a gown and pee in a cup, and hooked me up to monitors.
My contractions were not constant, but because I was bleeding
they could not check to see if my water broke, because
this could cause infection. They did check to see how dilated
I was and I was at a 7 1/2!! I could not believe it. I was
way excited. They told me they would go ahead and admit
me. Jeff and I could not believe all this was happening.
I had gone over 3 days with Sydney, and here we were 2 weeks
early! Jeff went home to get his stuff, and finalize where
Sydney would stay. Jenny took Sydney out to Jeff's other grandma,
to stay the night. It is pretty neat that Sydney has 2 great grandmas
so close, and well enough to babysit her! We could not have done
It without them! While Jeff was gone My nurse started me on a tiny
bit of potocin to get my contractions consistent. Than my doctor
came in, and broke my water. That was the weirdest feeling!! Jeff came back
and he was so ready. He was well prepared for a long night haha. We called
mom and told her to head on up. She was thinking this would take
a while, since Sydney took FOREVER. My sister called and said she wanted
to come, and I could not be more excited! So she headed up too. I was starting
to feel a little bit uncomfortable with all the water under me. I told my nurse, who might I just add was AMAZING. Jeff and I have come to the conclusion
that we don't just get nurses we get angels! We have been so
blessed with such great nurses. So anyhow she came to change me pad,
and goes "oh my goodness, did you pee"?! I laughed and said I don't think so.
When she lifted up the pad you could see she had to put a bit of effort
to lift it up! She said I had lost all my water, and she should probably
check me. She told me I was at a 8 and asked I would like an epidural.
I was having some major contractions, and honestly I was sick of it
and wanted the epidural asap! I got my epidural, but it really was
not working. At that time Mom, and Katherine showed up. It was perfect
timing. I told my nurse I was still in quite a bit of pain. She said that
made her a bit nervous, and said I was probably fully dilated. Sure enough
I was at a ten, and the epidural was not able to catch up. She called the doctor.
We called Jenny and told her to get to the hospital. The nurse put a mirror so I could watch what was going on, and told me to do a practice
push. I did just that, but right away they saw the head! She told me
to stop, and that was not easy!! Thankfully The doctor walked in, and so
did Jenny. My Doctor was being friendly and saying hello, and my nurse said,
"If you want to deliver this baby you better get your gloves on"! He looked at me and said "OH"! Hurried and put his gloves on and I pushed a few more times.
And there she was!! Sadie Dawn Roberts! She was beautiful! Her head was normal,
and her cheeks were huge! They laid her on my chest, and it was
instant love all over again. I was kinda wondering why
they were letting her stay on me for so long, because with Sydney
she got taken away pretty quick. I was not about to ask because I
was soaking up this beautiful moment. She had such dark hair, and looked
a bit Asian because her cheeks were squsishing her eyes!! I love her so much.
It was such a great experience!! Oh I forgot to mention, she was Jeff's
Birthday present??!! Yup, thats right she was born on her daddy's birthday!!
Jeff was a little hesitant at first, but would not have it any other
way!

My Baby is a year!!

Sydney, not a million words could describe the love, and joy she brings to our home. She has been such an amazing little girl. We are so blessed with her sweet spirit. She was a little difficult to get her, but has for sure made up for it! She has slept through the night since she was 3 months old. She is always happy. Loves playing by herself, but loves the company of others. She has her daddy wrapped around her finger, and she would not have it any other way. I have had the pleasure of watching our sweet little girl become a big sister. I was afraid there would jealousy, and misunderstanding, but she has been so good. She loves Sadie, and is so willing to help. I was in the kitchen trying to do dishes, and Sadie started to cry. I wanted to finish up so I kept on going, Sydney ran to me and with her hand pointing to the living room she said "uh oh"! She insisted I follow her, and she led me straight to Sadie. I really do not know how we were so blessed. This year of being her mom has honestly been the best year of my life. Of course it was not all roses, but I had it really good. My good friend Kortney was so sweet and offered to take pictures of Sydney for her one year pictures. She did an AMAZING job! Here are a few of the adorable pictures.

I am so lucky to have such amazing friends!
We had a small birthday party for Sydney. She loved every minute of it. She actually understood how to open her presents. We were amazed. She loved playing with all of her friends.

Easter Fun

Easter was so fun! Sydney woke up to a fun basket, and a pretty new Easter dress. Of course she was more impressed with the green grass than anything else in the basket.

After church we went to Grandma Graff's house, and ate yummy food. We put together a small egg hunt for the younger kids, with small recces eggs.

The adorable dress she wore, was given to her by grandma! Isn't she just darling?!?

It was such a fun first Easter. We look forward to many many more!! I like being the Easter Bunny!!

Life is so Fragile

I am in ****LOVE**** with my life! Every moment, every second! I am so thankful for the opportunity I have had to witness this life from a whole new perspective. Being a wife, and a mother has got to be the greatest joy ever.
I look at my daughter, and I can't help but want to do everything in my power to protect her, and keep her safe. I want her to stay this innocent forever. I want to always be her world.
I know that this cannot be. Life goes on. It amazes me, that my baby girl is almost one! The same little girl who could barely keep her eyes open, is now almost walking! Time fly's. Everyone warned me, but in the moment time slips away. I have come to peace with her getting older. I know my Heavenly Father has a plan for her, and I have faith he knows best.As time slips away, I will continue to soak in every moment, having faith that I have a chance at all eternity with my greatest joys.

Why do we take it all for granted
Until it's gone
Cause then it's gone
Love Who You Love
With all that you have
And don't waste the time that flies so fast
Love who you love
And say that you do
Hold on as tight as they'll let you
Give all ya' got like it's your last day
Your heart and soul before it's too late
And pull 'em in
So close enough that they can feel it
With every single breath that you're breathin'
Breathe it in again and again
Love who you love
With all that you have
And don't waste the time that flies so fast
Hold on, Hold on
Love who you love
Say that you do
Love who you love
Love who you love
Again and again and again and again

Fun fun fun

The Holidays were great, and it was so much fun spending time with family. Sydney really did not know what to think about Santa clause, and actually started crying!! Which is so unusual she LOVES people, but I guess Santa is kinda freaky!

Since this was Sydney's first Christmas, and she is still too young to really understand, we kept it pretty simple. She loved her presents and was so happy to open, and play with them.

Her favorite gift was her books!! She was so excited to play with them. By the end of the day she was exhausted, and was so happy to fall asleep in daddy's arms.

She is growing so much and amazes us daily. This Christmas was so special, and the feeling was just really neat. We had the great opportunity to team up with our good friends, and help a family in Saint George. It was such a humbling experience, and I really want to keep doing that. This experience really made Christmas so special, and helped to truly be able to feel the spirit of the holiday.
Sydney is 15 pounds 8% in height and 3% for weight. She is tiny tiny and I love it. It is so fun to watch her just go go go. She has taken a few steps, but will only do it on her time. She has discovered the stairs, and loves to climb them. She has finally said Mama!! It just melted my heart!! I totally teared up. Hearing her say that really makes me realize that she does know who I am. She has quite the little vocabulary, and is learning daily. The words she can say (I won't include the words we think she has said or sounded like said these are words that she has actually said fully aware) Hi,dadda, babba, all done, and mama! She has two official teeth, and I am sure more are on there way. She amazes us daily, and has truly showed us what happiness feels like. She is so much fun. I know any parent would agree at how special this time is!
Until next time...

Gratitude is our Attitude

So I have come to the conclusion, that I am THE worst blogger out there. I think about doing it, but I just can't seem to find time.
Time just has been Flying by. Last month our home teachers asked if there was anything they could for us. Jeff was just messing around, and said if you could put an extra hour in the day that would be awesome. Well today they came by and gave us a clock, with a 13Th hour!!! It was so clever and thoughtful. The people in my ward are truly amazing. I am so grateful to have this opportunity to learn and grow from each of them. We were so blessed as a ward to have President Uchtdorf and his lovely wife grace us with their presence a few Sundays. He even spoke to us for forty minutes. He is a true man of God. He is an amazing man. This really strengthened my testimony.
We were able to celebrate Thanksgiving with family. It was so much fun to be able to catch up with everyone.
Sydney's first word was "Hi", with a little wave. She now says Dada, so she has put the two together and says "hi Dada"! So cute. I cannot even be mad that she has not said mama, because she melts my heart when she does that. She is getting her first tooth. Only one so far, but we think the other is close to follow. She has figured out how to climb the stairs, so we will be investing in a gate very soon. Sydney is the happiest baby ever! We love her so much.
Funny story about or cute little girl. The other day Jeff was eating a cup cake, and put the wrapper on the coffee table. Jeff and I realized that Sydney was being really quite, way too quite. Jeff and I looked down and this is what we saw.

She had found the wrapper and was going to town!! She got so mad when we took it away. Here are a few more pictures!!
